Switch between personal and team documents

Click your name at the top of the sidebar and, under Show documents from, pick Everything, Personal or your team's name. The sidebar's Team section also links straight to team documents and templates.

When you're on a team, your documents list can show your documents, the team's, or both. It's a view filter: nothing moves between personal and team when you switch.

Use the switcher

  1. Step 1: Open the switcher

Click your name at the top of the sidebar. Under it you see the current view and your plan, for example Personal + team · Business.

  2. Step 2: Pick what to show

Under Show documents from, choose one of the options below. Documents opens with that view.

OptionShows
EverythingYour documents and your team's.
PersonalOnly documents you haven't shared with the team.
Your team's nameDocuments shared with the team, by anyone.

The switcher menu also links to Team & branding and Plan & usage. Without a team it shows Create a team instead.

Other ways to get there

  • The sidebar's Team section has Documents and Templates links for the team.
  • On the Templates page, the Team tab lists templates shared with the team.
  • In Documents, the Team only and Personal only chips show which view you're in; Clear resets the filter.
I don't see the switcher options for a team. Why?

You aren't on a team yet. Accept an invitation, or create a team on Business from Create a team in the same menu.

Does switching change who can see a document?

No. Use Share with team or Stop sharing with team in a document's menu to change that.
