Use the help center with ChatGPT, Claude or your own agent
Point your assistant at https://help.pdfbetter.com/llms.txt, or add .md to any article's address for clean Markdown. Apps can call the keyless search API at /api/help/search/?q=…, and agents connected over MCP get the search_help and get_help_article tools.

AI assistants answer better when they read the real documentation instead of guessing. Every article in this help center is written from how PDFBetter actually works, prices and limits come from the live plan settings, and each one is available in formats made for machines.
Ask ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant
Step 1: Give it the index
Paste
https://help.pdfbetter.com/llms.txtinto the chat and ask your question. It lists every article by topic, with links to their Markdown.Step 2: Or give it one article
Open the article, add
.mdto the end of its address (for examplehttps://help.pdfbetter.com/signing/request-signatures.md) and paste that link.Step 3: Or give it everything
https://help.pdfbetter.com/llms-full.txtcontains every article in one file, for tools that can read long documents.
Each Markdown file starts with the article's title, URL and short answer and ends with the date it was last checked against the product. Ask the assistant to cite the article URL so you can check it. For prices and product facts there's also the main site's llms.txt.
Search API for apps and chatbots
GET https://pdfbetter.com/api/help/search/?q=cancel+subscription returns the best-matching articles as JSON: title, answer (the short summary), collection, url and markdown (the Markdown URL to fetch for full steps). Add &limit= for more results (5 by default). It needs no key, can be called from a browser on any site, and is rate-limited per IP address; a missing q returns missing_query.
MCP tools for connected agents
If you've connected an agent to PDFBetter over MCP, it can call two read-only tools: search_help (a question or keywords, returns articles with their answer and slug) and get_help_article (a slug, returns the full article as Markdown). They don't count toward your monthly agent calls, but they do need the agent's key like every other PDFBetter MCP tool.
| You have | Use |
|---|---|
| A chat assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini…) | llms.txt or an article's .md link |
| Your own chatbot, support widget or script | The search API |
| An agent already connected to PDFBetter | search_help and get_help_article |
Is the help center in other languages?
Articles are written in English. Assistants can translate them; the product's UI labels in the articles are the English ones.
Can an agent read my documents through these?
No. The help formats and the search API only contain public documentation. Working on your documents needs an MCP connection or an API key.
