Step 1: Open the Integrations settings
Click Settings at the bottom of the sidebar, then Integrations. Under Zapier & Make, click Set up in Make. It opens in a new tab.
Step 2: Add a PDFBetter module
In a Make scenario, add a PDFBetter module, for example Watch completed signature requests or Fill PDF form.
Step 3: Create a connection
In the module's connection field, add a new connection. A PDFBetter page opens; log in if you aren't already.
Step 4: Allow access
Read what Make will be able to do, then click Allow and connect. The connection is saved in Make and reused by every PDFBetter module.
Step 5: Check the connection
Back in PDFBetter, Make is listed under Connected apps in Settings → Integrations.
Instant triggers
The Watch modules are instant: PDFBetter notifies Make the moment something happens, such as Watch completed signature requests, Watch new form responses or Watch finished workflow runs. They work on every plan with an account. You don't need the Business webhooks for them.
Files and long jobs
Modules that work on a document accept a document already in PDFBetter or a file from an earlier module. Convert PDF can also turn a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file into a PDF. Download links in the output last about 10 minutes, so download or pass the file on in the same scenario run.
Jobs like OCR or conversion may still be running when a module returns. The result then has the status running and a status check to repeat until the job is done. Status checks don't count as runs.
What it costs
Each PDFBetter module that runs counts as one agent & automation run. Failed runs aren't counted. The work itself uses the same allowances as the app (downloads, conversions, OCR pages, AI credits, signature requests).

How do I disconnect Make?
In Settings → Integrations → Connected apps, click Disconnect next to Make. It stops working right away and its instant triggers are removed.
Is there a module for something not in the list?
Make an API call sends a request to PDFBetter's automation API with your connection. Most people won't need it.
