Create a document with AI

Click Create with AI in the sidebar, pick what you're making, describe it and click Create draft. You get an editable, fillable PDF in the editor for 5 credits.

Updated 1 min read Counts toward ai credits

  1. Step 1: Open the creator

Click Create with AI in the sidebar, or ✨ AI assistant → Create a document in the top bar.

  2. Step 2: Pick a kind

Under What are you making?, choose Letter, Contract, Form, Invoice or Policy. Each fills in an example you can edit.

  3. Step 3: Describe it

In Describe the document, say who it's for, what it must include and what should be left blank to fill in. A sentence or two is enough.

  4. Step 4: Create the draft

Click Create draft. It opens in the editor as an editable, fillable PDF with the AI assistant open.

  5. Step 5: Review and finish

Read every section, fix what's wrong, fill the blanks, then download, share or send it for signature.

Getting a better draft

  • Name the parties, amounts and dates you know, and say which ones should stay blank ("my name, address and date as blanks").
  • List the sections you need ("scope, fee, 50% deposit, 2 revision rounds, ownership after payment").
  • Write in the language you want the document in. The draft is written in the language of your request.
  • Blanks become fillable fields, so the draft works as a form right away.

Cost and limits

Each draft costs 5 credits. You can try it without an account: guest drafts include 5 credits, and the draft comes with you when you sign up. The description can be up to 4,000 characters.

Need a standard document? A template is free and already reviewed for structure. Use AI when nothing in the library fits.

Can I change the draft with AI afterwards?

Yes. Open the Edit tab of the AI assistant and describe the change. You review each proposed edit before it's applied.

Where is the draft saved?

In your documents, like any other file, so you can rename, move or delete it there.
