Translate

  1. Step 1: Open the Translate tab

In the document's AI assistant, click Translate.

  2. Step 2: Choose the language

Pick one from Translate into. More than 30 languages are listed, including Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi and Japanese.

  3. Step 3: Choose pages

Leave Pages blank for all pages, or type a range like 1-3, 5.

  4. Step 4: Translate

Click Translate. When it's done, click Open “…” to open the new copy, or Download as text.

Your original stays untouched. Layout, images and tables aren't reproduced: you get the text, in order, in a new PDF. Each request covers up to 10 pages on Free, 50 on Pro and 100 on Business; translate longer documents in parts. Pages that fail say not charged so you can run them again.

Edit with AI

  1. Step 1: Describe the change

In the Edit tab, type it in What should change?, for example "Change the tenant name to Jordan Lee and add a note on page 2 to confirm the deposit."

  2. Step 2: Propose edits

Click Propose edits. You get a list: Replace text, Add text, Add note or Fill “field”.

  3. Step 3: Pick and apply

Untick anything you don't want, then click Apply … selected, or Discard. Undo with Ctrl/⌘ + Z.

Proofread

Open Proofread (or More → Check spelling in the editor toolbar) and click Proofread. Issues are labeled Spelling, Grammar or Style; click Accept or Dismiss on each, or Accept all … located fixes. Suggestions whose text can't be found on the page are discarded or marked to fix by hand. Proofreading follows the same per-request page cap as translation.

Can it edit a scanned PDF?

Not until the page has a text layer. Run OCR from the Scan tab first; the AI then reports pages it still can't read.

Why does my translation look plain?

Translation keeps the text and its order, not the design. For a styled document, paste the translation into a template or the original layout.
