# Create a team

> On the Business plan, open **Settings** → **Team & branding**, enter a **Team name** and click **Create team**. You become the owner, and your Business seats cover everyone you invite.

A team is a shared space for colleagues: documents and templates you choose to share, owner/admin/member roles, and your logo and colors on signing invitations and shared links. Teams are part of the Business plan, priced per seat.

## Create your team

1. **Open Team & branding**: Click **Settings** at the bottom of the sidebar, then **Team & branding**. You can also click your name at the top of the sidebar and choose **Create a team**.
2. **Start Business if you need to**: If you aren't on Business, the page shows **Start Business**. New subscribers get a 7-day trial; a card is required ([how the trial works](https://help.pdfbetter.com/account-billing/paid-plan-free-trial/)). Business costs $24 per seat a month, or $18 per seat a month billed yearly.
3. **Name the team**: Under **Create your team**, enter a **Team name**, such as your company's name.
4. **Create it**: Click **Create team**. You're the owner, and the team's section appears in your sidebar.
5. **Invite people**: Use **Invite by email** on the same page. See [Invite people to your team](https://help.pdfbetter.com/teams/invite-team-members/).

## What changes for you

- Your existing documents stay personal. Nothing is shared until you choose **Share with team** on a document.
- The sidebar gets a **Team** section with the team's **Documents** and **Templates**, and a **Manage users** link for owners and admins.
- The switcher at the top of the sidebar lets you show everything, only personal documents, or only the team's.
- Every signing invitation you or your teammates send can carry the team's brand once you set it up.

> **Note:** An account can belong to one team at a time. If you've been invited to another team, leave your current one first.

### Can I rename the team?

Not from Settings yet. The **Brand name** under **Branding** is what recipients see, and you can change it any time.

### Can I delete a team or hand ownership to someone else?

There's no button for either yet. To transfer ownership, contact support through the [contact page](https://pdfbetter.com/contact/) from the owner's account.

### Been invited instead?

Open the link in your invitation email while logged in with the address it was sent to, then click **Accept invitation**.
