# Find documents other people shared with you

> Open **Shared with me** in the sidebar. It lists documents someone invited your email address to edit, with who shared each one and when your access ends. Click one to open it in the editor.

Do it in PDFBetter: https://pdfbetter.com/app/shared/

1. **Sign in with the invited email**: Use the account whose email the owner entered when creating the **Can edit** link.
2. **Confirm your email**: Shared documents are matched to your email address, so they appear only after you've confirmed it. Use the link in your welcome email.
3. **Open Shared with me**: In the sidebar, click **Shared with me**. Each row shows **Shared by** and, if set, when **access ends**.
4. **Edit**: Click the document. It opens in the editor and you work on the same document as the owner.

## What appears here

Only edit links limited to your email address. View, comment and fill links aren't listed: open those from the link you were sent. A document disappears from the list when the owner turns the link off, the link expires, or the owner deletes the document.

## Working on a shared document

- Your changes are saved into the owner's document; there's no separate copy.
- Downloads you make count against your own plan, not the owner's.
- You can't create share links for someone else's document. Only the owner can.

> **Tip:** Working with the same people on many documents? On Business, owners can [share documents with their team](https://help.pdfbetter.com/teams/share-documents-with-team/) from a document's menu instead of one edit link per file.

### Someone shared a document but it's not here.

Check that you're signed in with the exact email they invited and that it's confirmed. Also ask whether the link was **Can edit**: other permissions aren't listed here.

### Where are documents sent to me for signature?

Under **Received** in the sidebar, not here. See [What signers see](https://help.pdfbetter.com/signing/what-signers-see/).
