Click **Prepare my export** to download your account data and original files. To close your account, click **Delete my account**, type your email and confirm. This can't be undone. Do it in PDFBetter: https://pdfbetter.com/app/settings/privacy/ ## Export your data 1. **Open Data & privacy**: In the app, go to [Settings → Data & privacy](https://pdfbetter.com/app/settings/privacy/). 2. **Prepare the export**: Under **Export your data**, click **Prepare my export**. 3. **Download what you need**: Click **Download account data (JSON)** for a list of your documents, **All originals (.zip)** for every original file, or **Download original** next to a single file. The links work for one hour. The export contains your original uploads, not the edited versions. To keep an edited version, download it from the editor before you delete anything. ## Delete your account 1. **Cancel an App Store subscription**: If you subscribed in the [iPhone app](https://help.pdfbetter.com/account-billing/app-store-and-appsumo-plans/), cancel it first in iPhone **Settings → your name → Subscriptions → PDFBetter**. Deleting your account doesn't stop Apple's billing. 2. **Open Data & privacy**: Go to **Settings → Data & privacy** and find **Delete account**. 3. **Start the deletion**: Click **Delete my account**. 4. **Confirm**: Type your account email and click **Delete everything**. ## What happens - Every document, version, export, signature request, form and response you own is deleted, with their stored files. - A plan billed on pdfbetter.com is canceled immediately, without a refund for the current period. - Unused purchased credits are lost. - Documents you signed for other people stay with their senders. - Evidence of completed signature requests you sent is kept for 7 years so the signers can still prove the agreement. > **Own a team?:** If you own a team with other members, [remove them first](https://help.pdfbetter.com/teams/remove-team-member/) in **Team & branding**, or contact support to transfer ownership. Until then the delete button is unavailable. You can also ask us to access, correct, export, restrict or erase personal data by emailing [support@pdfbetter.com](mailto:support@pdfbetter.com). If your first payment on pdfbetter.com was within the last 14 days, email support for a [refund](https://help.pdfbetter.com/account-billing/invoices-and-refunds/) before you delete the account. Deleting cancels the plan without a refund. ### Can I delete my account from the iPhone app? Yes. In the app, open **Account**, tap **Delete account** and type DELETE to confirm. An AppSumo lifetime deal is paid once on AppSumo and redeemed from your AppSumo account. - [Remove a member or leave a team](https://help.pdfbetter.com/teams/remove-team-member.md): In Settings → Team & branding, click the remove icon on the person's row and confirm Remove. To leave, click it on your own row and confirm Leave team.
