# Get help inside PDFBetter: the help panel, search and support

> In the dashboard, click the question mark in the top bar or **Help & support** in the sidebar. The panel shows **Help for this page**, a search box and every topic. In the editor, use **More** (**⋯**) → **Help center**. A person answers at support@pdfbetter.com.

## The help panel

1. **Open it**: In the dashboard, click the question mark in the top bar (wide screens) or **Help & support** at the bottom of the sidebar.
2. **Start with this page**: **Help for this page** lists the articles about the page you're on, such as **Fill links** or **Sent**. **Start here** has the basics and **Browse topics** lists every collection.
3. **Search**: Type in **Search help…**. Results update as you type.
4. **Read and act**: Articles open inside the panel. **Open in PDFBetter** jumps to the page that does the job, and **Open in help center** opens the full article in a new tab.

At the bottom of the panel are **Contact support**, **Keyboard shortcuts**, **What’s new** and **Help center**. Each article ends with **Did this answer your question?**; if it didn't, you're offered a way to tell us what you were looking for, and a person replies.

## Other ways in

- **Search:** press `⌘` `K` (or `Ctrl` `K`) and type a question. Help articles appear under **Help**, with **Search help for “…”** for more.
- **Learn PDFBetter:** the dashboard home shows how-tos for what people do most. Click one to open it in the panel, or the × (**Hide how-tos**) to remove the strip.
- **In the editor:** **More** (**⋯**) → **Help center** opens the editing articles in a new tab.
- **The help center:** every article is at [help.pdfbetter.com](https://help.pdfbetter.com/), organized by topic.

> **Note:** Help articles are written in English. The app itself is in [five languages](https://help.pdfbetter.com/getting-started/change-app-language/), so labels in the articles are the English ones.
